Who is

Spirit of Grace?

Above is a custom handmade stained-glass windowpane, made for Spirit of Grace by Colorado Artist Jan Kray; the wife of talented local blues singer "Ed Catfish Kray".

COVID had a global devastating impact on millions. In addition to worldwide health impacts & loss, many artists had upcoming events and venues cancel. Fans in well enough health to attend these events were likewise deprived.

C. Larea Edwards of S.O.G. came up with the idea to perform live music in her front yard. Artists were given the opportunity to perform, share their talent & benefited from donations of attendees. Fans were able to enjoy live music from the safety & comfort of their own front lawns.

Spirit of Grace (S.O.G.) is a gospel group made up of members who are on fire for the Lord. Members include: C. Larea Edwards, Tonicia London, Shamae Williams & Christin Grant.

Original music is inspired by the Holy Scripture and our personal walks with God. You will find that each member has a unique perspective from which they pour out their praise.

Spirit Of Grace once had as many as 7 vocalists! The group performed steadily with 5 members for years, until the sudden unexpected death of beloved best friend & outstanding vocalist, Christopher Tye.

3 Vocalists in Spirit Of Grace are biological sisters. The group was founded by our eldest sister & we have been singing together since before our baby sister could speak in sentences! The group is affectionately named for our paternal grandmother, "Grace".

Tonicia London is a close relative too! (Cousin)

Let's get personal

C. Larea Edwards sings Soprano, Alto & Tenor. The eldest of 3 sisters, C. Larea Edwards is accustomed to taking charge. She graduated from CU & has a degree in international business management. She is the founder of Spirit Of Grace. She is also a talented violinist, having performed many times with her violin "Bertha" and electric violin "Baby". She is a certified personal trainer. She has spent years teaching children the Word of God as a missionary. She is an avid and brilliant puzzler and also enjoys knitting, gaming & supporting local artists.

Tonicia London sings Soprano & Alto. She is a Kansas City native. She grew up singing in church and with family. Growing up in church and wanting to be used in ministry, she found herself most comfortable in music and evangelism. She serves as the Choir Director and Praise & Worship Leader at her church. She is the Chaplain for SOG. Her passion is feeding and caring for God's people. She is a sous chef for Anthology at Burlingtoncreek and owner/operator of "Kinfolk's Catering" (actual photo above) a family-based catering and event service.

Shamae Williams sings Soprano, Alto & Tenor. She is a Registered Nurse, working for Denver Public Schools. She is the Choir Director & Women's Dept. President at her church. She attended & graduated from Xavier University, in New Orleans, LA.  She is an extremely talented cake decorator & helps her daughter, who began a cupcake business. Together, they make stunning gourmet cakes, cupcakes & cookies. She also enjoys dancing, movies, board games & spending time with her family, (especially their newest addition).

Christin Grant sings Soprano & Alto. She works at University Hospital in Denver, CO, in direct patient care. She trained as a culinary artist at Johnson & Wales University in Denver. At her church, she is Assistant Choir Director, Deaconess, & (monthly) Fellowship Dinner Coordinator. She has dual passions, cooking & writing. She organizes the monthly dinners for her church & caters small events. She writes music of all genres (including instrumental). She also writes novels & plans to be published soon!
